Clear indicators for an S1

Post by Ferg » Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:04 am

I quite fancy doing this and was suggesting christmas presents to the family but after a quick check..... holy moly, I wasn't expecting £54 per unit @ EP and pretty much the same at ES! I'm sure they weren't that before, or have they always been this expensive?

Looks like I'm getting socks then...

The ones at the front, side or back? We had to replace most light covers and found them rather expensive too. Can't remember the prices though. Our biggest shock were the rubber seals that go round the door!

Yup, indicator lenses are expensive (and brake lenses too), with the exception of the side repeaters, which are just vauxhall parts.

I *think* the S1 Elise was the first car to have Lotus manufactured light units or something, so no chance of getting them from another car either.

I bought mine from SJ Sportscars a few years ago they were by far the cheapest then and still are today £35.00 ~they have them manufactored but they are the same as the other ones I've seen
