Exige model differences?
Exige model differences?
Has anyone any links to specs of Exige 260 Cup, Exige RGB and Exige Type 72?
Wondering wether to change to one of the above, or an Elise SC.
Can someone post up what are the main differences between the mentioned cars?
Thanks.

Standard response to this used to be check out elises.co.uk for the model breakdowns, but it seems that Rob hasn't gone into as much detail in recent years with special editions of the Exige.
From memory, the cup cars are fitted with track kit including external cutoffs? The 260 refers to claimed horsepower. T72 is a standard Exige S, is it not, so 220bhp? RGB, no idea.
Elise SC has a different supercharger setup with no intercooler, so less power (218 claimed) but fits in the same space as the standard engine. Little opportunity to further increase power unlike the Exige S cars with intercoolers as standard (however ineffective they are)

Re: Exige model differences?
Pistonheads news is usually a pretty good place to search for launch specs etc.
As above, Type 72 may or may not have performance pack (220 vs 240 bhp).
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/news/defau ... ryId=21272
Exige RGB is 260 plus some extra bits and also limited edition.
(You can also get an Elise SC RGB...btw)
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/news/defau ... ryId=22101
Cup 260 has lots of lovely carbon and race bits...
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/lotus/defa ... ryId=20523
If you're tall, make sure to try one. The A frame and carbon seat combo greatly reduces how far the seat goes back...
Nice decision to have to make.

Car is garaged up just now, and due service and new tyres in the springtime. Will give you a PM afterwards and we could maybe meet up for a chat or run.
Thanks, Steve.

Going to PM Neil and Boyner72 in the springtime and arrange a get together. Are you going to come along and show us your seats
Ps liked your pictures of your car heading to Fettercairn
Re: Exige model differences?
And I am still trying to decide whether to keep the 111r and make it go faster or go the whole hog and get a 240 or even 260 Exige, RGB or Exige Cup. If there is going to be a meet of cars to peruse options can I join in
Was going to decide over the festive period which way to go but due to in-law illnesses, death of friends relatives and various other carpy goings on have had to put all thoughts on the back burner. Off to the US for a few days later in the week but after that I will be back on the 'new car/upgrade car' trail again.
I am also in Aberdeen and running the elise all winter as getting work done on the house and the tradesmen need the garage
