Vx2.2 cam sensor?

Once I get a chance I'll check out the vx forums. My vx threw up p0340, cam shaft position sensor malfunction. To my knowledge this car doesnt have any? Incidentally it drives perfect just mil on, any ideas?

Ok just for info. Vx does have cam sensor but is only used for sequential firing. With a fault it just goes into batched. Fueling is controlled through crank so don't really need to sort it out, at least not immediately.

It doesn't have a cam sensor.

It senses cam position through the coil pack. I think it uses ion sensing.

Ahh, I understood it was incorporated into the coil pack, just assumed the sensor went through the rocker. Any idea on the best place to source one?

Ebay normally has a few or for a new one try www.autovaux.co.uk

If your going to autovaux call them as their website and email aren't the greatest but on the phone they're great.
