Front caliper refurb - how tricky??

One of my front brakes is rubbing. Have tried reseating the pads but no improvement so I'm presuming the caliper's on it's way out.
Eliseparts do a refub kit. I'm wondering how tricky a job it is to do. Any clues?? Any special tools required??
Any thoughts gratefully received - or if it might be anything else gone awry instead...

Its not to bad a job, but the new seals are very tight when putting the pistons back in, just take your time, and be gentle.

Tim, that means take the caliper off, buy a refurb kit, give it to somebody else to do, then refit caliper, then give me a shout and we can bleed the brakes

it's much easier and the pistons work better if you coat them in silicon gel before you refit them, I have had no problems getting pistons refitted using the gel.

OK thanks guys - I'll give it a go. Yes, Robin - will be in touch when the brakes need bleeding - or when I've otherwise buggered it up!!

P.S. Before you go looking for silicon gel, it's silicone which is a synthetic rubber, not silicon which is a tetravalent metaloid, according to wikipeda
No problem popping down to bleed the brakes when you're ready

Hmmm - well it can't have been that tricky as I did it all in less than 3 hours on Friday night! Lubricated the seals with a bit of brake fluid, which seemed ok.
And, on a test drive round the block the car seemed to still stop too. Haven't really given the brakes a full workout yet - here's hoping that they stand up to it...
Anyway, thanks for the advice - it tempted me to have a go and saved me a load of grief sending the caliper away and about £100.
