She is back home!
Some of you will already know but after 6 years in the hands of various people I decided to buy her back so AU55 now T26 CUP is back in my care. For those that don't know the car, make yourself a coffee and prepare to loose a couple of hours reading the build thread in post 1.
I thought long and hard about wether to extend this thread or just start afresh but decided that it would be good to keep everything I did this car in one place as a sort of rolling history.
First up will be to put some miles on her, me get used to a Lotus again (been a while since I had one) and to see what needs doing. So after what must be just over 3 years I am back in a Lotus and one that I built. This is going to be interesting......

Nice one
Fix it after others have remove bits and broke it ?
Had a few camping weekend when Jim (Highlander) had it.

Struggling to follow Mike so you might want to just add future updates at end. Can always signpost in a final update to post #1 and people will be linked to latest here anyway

Mike,
Why did you change from the Öhlins to Nitron suspension? I could not see where or if you mentioned it.
Steve.

I didn't, they were the wrong type. I forget now which way round it was but they had the wrong eyes on one set and would have needed changing. That and they are 2 way and the Ohlins are basically a modified bike shock and not very robust in the longer term.
Current plan is at some point to change to 46mm Nitron one-way. 2-way are too much of a faff to set up and you need to find a home for the reservoir.
Still might go with 2-11 upper front wishbone but we will see come time.
