Worn flexi section

Hi guys,
Another post about something I have no idea about!
I've a used janspeed downpipe I'm looking to sell, though there is wear to one end of the braided wire on the flexi section

I've someone interested in it, but he'd like to know if the wear is likely to get worse, or if it's a non issue.
It came off the car with no issues, just swapped to a 421 manifold.
I've also been asked if swapping the downpipe along with the back box would make any difference to an S1 with a gas flowed head? Again no idea, it made a difference on my car when it went on but thats because the original had a hole rusted through it!
Just looking for an honest opinion on whether it's good or goosed! (should've done this before posting the ad up TBH, but it's just stuff kicking about in the garage.)
