134 s Toyota exhaust?

Post by deltashad » Sat Aug 10, 2013 10:37 am

I'm new to the wonderful Elise world.
The car isn't on the drive yet but I'm already thinking about modifications. I would like it to sound a bit better and wondered what choice of aftermarket exhausts there are, also, are there any 134 owners who have tried to extract a little more power from their cars?

I would get the car into Murray Motors in Edinburgh (MMC) and get them to give it a check over first and to make sure that its set up properly. Geo makes a massive difference on the handling so its well worth while. Speak to Craig and he will look after you.

Plenty of You Tube clips on different exhaust options. Janspeed, Larini, 2ubular (Beat me to it Mike :D ).

See testimonials regarding MMC here;

Craig will sort you out with appropriate mods at a good price - you might want to think about an air box to get a fruitier sound too.

Thanks for the advice guys! The car has been looked after by Murray's, it's not been abused and just had a big service.
I haven't spoken with Craig yet, I met Brandon a few times when I was looking for a car, really nice chap but he didn't have anything in my price range.

Will have a chat with him and see what he advises. Off to brows 2ubular website :)

You're more than welcome to have a look at my car, I have a few very discreet mods that I chose very carefully not to ruin the Lotus, it is the same basic car as yours. Oh - I have a custom made 2bular (not one advertised) that I got Jim Valentine to make bespoke for my car.

That would be great Bergwerk.

I stopped off at Halfords yesterday and met a guy from Perth with a yellow S1, absolutely mint condition.
He's got a decat pipe installed and it sounds superb. Very cheap way of saving some weight and adding some fruit.

Give me a shout when your going for a drive and I'll meet up with you somewhere for a pint. :)

Remember with a decat that you would have to re-fit the cat for every MOT..
