Which bar are you fitting?

I think the left/right ends use the seat belt inertia reel belt mounting points, but presumably there are other bolts for the belts themselves. It should go without saying that you need the right bolt!!

The bolt is listed as "special".

The seat belts mount into captures that face into the car the standards bar fits into capture in the roll over hoop that are at the rear of the bar and below the seat belt mounts, just above the top of the speaker enclosures in a S1. The seat belts use a fine thread bolt and the bar uses a standard M10 bolts.

Pete's got an S2 - wasn't aware they'd kept the captive nuts for the harness bar.

They are both the same but the bolt for the S2 in shorter at 30mm. The mounts are in the same place but it's a bigger job to fit in an S2 if it has the rear plastic panel which will need cut to suit.

That's spot on the captured nuts are there just need bolts. I think the bar is an eliseparts one I got it secondhand.

Seats are out as is the trim.

Getting old tut. Last track day I do did my back was my limiting factor from being thrown around. Even at the sedate speed I travel at!

I seem to recall my 1st Kit car failed its SVA test as I have fitted Grade 8.8 bolts, it had to be High tensile 10.9 bolts to meet the Regulations at the time.

Worth the extra few pence since your life might depend on them one day ( Hopefully not)

Cheers

Found a pair of sunglasses under the passenger seat. Calvin Klein, bit scratched, would suit an oddly shaped head. Yours I presume.
