The Elise has developed a bit of a knocking noise.
It's more noticeable at slow speeds and stops when the brakes are applied.
My thoughts are something to do with the brakes
Rear disks and were replaced and pads all round at the beginning of March. Also had both front lower balljoints replaced.
Anyone got any ideas what I should be looking for?

Pad retaining springs are probably upside down or you need buffers for the pads

Cheers Stephen (and Tut

Next question - would this be something I should be able to sort myself (no technical skills) or should I leave it to the professionals?

Re: Knock, Knock
Easy peasy
The retaining springs are on the front and should push the pads up. If they are pushing the pads down remove the pins and turn them round.
If that doesn't fix it stick some buffer pads on the callipers.
Have a look here under noises.
