Yup - some ned/student type has kicked off my driverside wing mirror!
I know everyone says rover metro for the mirror - is that just the housing or is it the black plastic surround as well?
All the painted parts are fine ( the bootprint will clean off) and I could araldite the mount back together - so all i need is the glass and plastic surround?
Correct?

I fitted a metro one to my car,a wee bit smaller,but that could have been because it was a sticky replacement one.If it was the real thing ,I think it would be fine.

Sorry dude, that's a real son of a bitch! Things like this are really starting to annoy me!
Everything but the stalk is Rover 100/ new shape Rover 200 I believe, but the rover ones will need painted.

Luckily(?) all the painted stuff is fine - even the glass didn't break!
Flame throwers attached to the underside being sourced - anyone getting within a foot ->

Yeah but i parked elsewhere - I was in a hurry and parked just up from Ashton lane! D'oh
If I can fix it for less than a tenner - it's not too bad - a PITA though!

That's sh!t Rob. Two incidents in the space of a week! Wee feckers!
When you say up from Ashton Lane, do you mean Uni Gardens? I park there quite a lot if in the West End . . . may have to change my usual parking location.
This is exactly why I've stopped parking in (free) Kelvinhaugh Street and now park (metered) in Elderslie Street / Berkeley Street when at work since I got the Elise, because the students will all be back in the halls there soon and I wouldn't even like to leave the car there during the day.

It's ok, I can't stand students either. Lazy, smelly, work-shy etc etc.(obviously that doesn't include me. I'm a mature student

)
although I do have to pay income tax which is sad

One of my mates had a flat on Great George St (at end of Aston Lane) and lost countless wing mirrors.
Students of today have no imagination. Sad to hear this crap still going on.
