I need to replace the original clear "K" shaped stone protectors on the leading edge of the rear wheel arches. What is the best method to remove them? Good hair drier? Heat gun (carefully!) I have a new pair on order. Don't want to screw up the paintwork, would be a bit ironic really

I recently cleaned mine up with tar remover and from memory they are bonded on solid, I would think a hair drier would be safer on the paint than a heat gun and maybe a razor blade to get the edge started, although I would think getting them off with no damage to the paint will be tricky. Maybe best to ask a body shop for their advice before having a bash.

A hairdryer works fine, just heat an edge till you can peel it a bit and go from there.
Heat a bit, peel it back, repeat . Comes off a lot easier than you would expect.
