I had Murrays machine the corrosion off my allow floor. Anyone know what is best to coat the floor with to protect it?

Any recommendations? :)

Some folk use por 15, although with it being aluminium you will probably be OK to leave it so long as you don't trap moisture and salt

ACF-50 is what you're after.

Is acf 50 not a bit slippy like wd40?

Yup - ACF50 will neutralise the corrosion if you're putting mats over the top (which was the factory stage 1 repair). As Stephen says, it's basically posh WD40 developed for aircraft.

As you've removed the corrosion (and the anodizing as well) a finish coat would be something like POR15. You could get away with a spray of ACF50 and some mats, but keep an eye on it if you do.

Should the aluminium not just become self anodised through atmospheric exposure and be OK so long as nothing else such as salt is introduced? The problem was with the rubber/ plastic mats holding the moisture and salt under the mast and not allowing things to dry.
