Elise Parts Number Plate Mount

Post by jammacdo » Mon Oct 20, 2014 9:18 pm

Guys

I recently went for non rear grill setup on the S2. Changed the rear diffuser for a three element one and used the Elise Parts Eliminator Drop Links and Number plate bracket:

Has anyone else used these before? I fitted them on Sunday and the number plate flapped all over the place if you shook the rear diffuser (like going over a bumpy road). So I ended up making an alloy bracket up that does two jobs: It covers the weird square hole in between the number plate illuminator lights and it also fixes the previously flapping number plate at the top as well as the bottom. All solid now but it makes me wonder what others have done. I cant see it being a very good solution without the extra bracket.

PS - I also managed to mount the round rear reflectors on the same mounting points as the exhaust rubber mounts which means they are sort of hidden away but were sufficient to pass the MOT today.
