Indicators not working - but hazards do!

As per title, went to indicate to swap lanes on the motorway and got nothing, no light on the dash, no clicking no clicking nothing :?

Got home and played around with the hazards, which do work oddly enough. Could it be the stalk itself has just given up the ghost?

If it helps the battery was disconnected today....I can't help but feel that might have something to do with it.

Will check the fuses tomorrow as it's too dark now but thought it was worth checking if this is a TADTS ;)

Cheers

Fuse 6 is your friend (should be 7.5A) - same on both early and late S1.

Cheers,
Robin

Thanks Robin - will check tomorrow morning :)

ETA: fuses all looked good so jabbed the hazards off and on a few times and now the indicators work :?: :thumbsup

Yup, dodgy hazard switch. Indicator power runs through the switch. Will need replacing at some point.

Had the same issue this year, ebay pug 205 switch (like new) cured.

Also installed a new fog light switch at the same time which cured a rear light that wouldn't light up and side lights that were sometimes on sometimes off.

Funnily enough woody my dipped beam switch also turns on my rear fog light :)

Another part to put on the order list I guess :)

You can ebay early Pug 106 and 205 switches. Ive just replaced my hazard switch which cured the issue you have.
Cheap cheap. Once you have a good one you can disassemble the old one and fix it.

You can also get a matching heated rear window switch which you can use for the heated seats that you have.

Except that despite having your seats re-trimmed, and having the heated elements fitted years ago, you never actually get around to wiring them up :leave
