Brake caliper refurb

About to take the exige off the road for a while and have the brakes refurbed.

S2 240 59plate with braided hoses.

Any suggestions where to send the calipers and what to do with the horse while the calipers are off?

Any other jobs I should do at the same time?

I don't think the horse will be affected by not seeing the brake calipers for a while, but you can confirm that with Smee.

They don't advertise car brake calipers but they did an amazing job of a motorbike caliper I sent them. Came back better than new. Might be worth a call, they may be able to suggest someone if they can't/won't do it. I would certainly use them again.

As for the hose, I roll up a sheet of kitchen roll as tight as I can and wind it into the banjo. Saves dirt getting in and will absorb any last trickles of brake fluid. I doubt it's industry practice, but it works for me :)

Did a fantastic job of my Elise calipers. Not cheap but they were effectively rebuilt with all new seals etc. Plus they were coated in "Lotus Yellow" paint.
