I don't have the car on a trickle charger as its outside so recently with lack of use the battery has been draining and setting the alarm off.

How do i lock the car but keep the alarm disarmed ? Checked the manual and cant see any answers ... Am i being daft? I need to fix this before my neighbours get really pi##ed.

Can you not simply leave the alarm off and lock the doors with the key?

It probably won't help, actually. You'll just kill the whole thing ... you need to start the engine for an hour-ish to keep the battery topped up.

The alarm goes off even if it wasn't armed when the battery goes flat (AND you cause untold other problems besides).

There may be a way of doing it, though ...

Call the factory and ask them how they store the cars without killing the battery!

Thats what I've ended up doing and continue to run the car at weekend to recharge.

Trickle charger on first to boost it then hope it turns over [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

If the newer Elise is the same as older versions the central locking and key locking are separate things so you can still manually lock the car using the key which operates each individual door lock so you can still secure it without using the fob / alarm.
