Tyres - A048 content

Post by simon » Wed Oct 04, 2006 8:26 pm

Measured my tyres and I've got between 2 and 3mm left on the left rear, a little more on the right rear. I plan on using them on Saturday at KH so should I order another set from Wheels Around to fit after?

An alternative I thought of would be getting Wheels Around to swap the right and left tyres over, the 48s aren't side specific are they? Not sure if they could do that on Saturday without a proper lift jack though.

Depends how much your going to use it Si but you'll probably still be legal after the track day so its convienence. Do you have a second set of winter wheels?

You will still be legal - chances are it will be raining or at least damp, which will lead to little wear, not to mention you not driving it as hard!

Will 2 17" wheels fit in the car? I've never tried that yet but I could bring my road rears and stick them on for the drive home.

Ronnie has put my name down for a pair of rears but he didn't know what they'd manage to get in time for Saturday. He said he'd try and get MH but it could end up being M instead, anyone know if there's a big difference?
