Front brake caliper is sticking on the elise so going to replace the two. Anyone used SJ sports cars? Try have refurbed calipers for £70 plus exchange. I've managed to drive it about 1000 miles this year so not looking to splash out on new
Thanks
Kev

Do you have any experience of a caliper refurb? How easy / difficult is it?

The fronts are pretty easy mate, happy to give you a hand.
No idea about the rears however.

Cool! It's the fronts I am thinking about. Might be a wee project for the autumn....

Is that price inclusive of VAT?
The EP refurb kit is £54.95+VAT = £65.94 (for the S1), which makes the SJ Sports cars deal seem very reasonable.

That seems expensive to me.
Depends on what needs done on yours Dom. You can buy new pots for the 2 pot calipers for £12 and the seals are only £13 in Elise Shop. So £25 a side. Your pots may be fine though and seals alone could do the trick. I wouldn't imagine the pins and springs would be beyond a light sand to clean them up and unless the link pipe is bashed or something I wouldn't think it would need replaced either.
Pretty straightforward as Mike said.

Ah okay - that makes more sense!
Mine had new pins and clips earlier this year anyway, so just the seals and maybe pots would make sense!

Yep, as D said I only done the seals and pots as the rest was fine. In fact I fitted new bleed nipples at the same time.
