Replacement fixings for clams?

On removing the clams, many of the fixing broke and will need replaced.

Are there any fixing kits out there or any guides on what people have done. The bolts appear to have been kept in place by taps like so:

So when they break off leaving a rather large whole, they best I can think of is getting replacement taps(or whatever they are called) and weld the tap, bolt & a washer together then bold the washer to the car, then the clam can be bolted on from there.

Any comments/advice welcome

cheers

Don't know about the fixings but change that boot opener while you have it all apart! :-)

They are rivnuts.

Most good nut and bolt suppliers will stock them.

You ideally need a rivnut gun but you can pull them in with spacers and a bolt.
