K Series Engine Oil

Post by Graham C » Fri Oct 16, 2015 5:05 pm

This has no doubt been discussed in the past, but what's the current thinking on the best engine oil to use in a K Series? Mine is a 135 model.

Many thanks,

Graham

I always used Millers 10/40 fully synthetic in my Elise and always worked well. But look up the fascinating analysis by David on engine oil performance during his race season, food for thought.

Currently have Millers 10/50 in my VHPD.

As others have said, something fully synthetic and 10/50 is ideal, though remember the engine is from a shopping trolley, not a highly tuned race machine.

Mobil 1 0w/40 was my lube of choice when I changed my own oil.
