Shift boot/exposed gear stick on 111R?

Is it possible to remove the shift boot to look like the one in the 135R in the image above or does the different gearbox mean this isn't possible?

The reason there's a gator on the 111R and other 6-speed toyota engined cars is because of the reverse mechanism; it's not particularly pretty and I think you also wouldn't want to get stuff into the mechanism:

If it's important to you, I'll happily swap my 135 for your R :thumbsup
