Welcome aboard!
It could also be the hoses to/from the radiator at the front end of the car - I have heard of these coming off when the jubilee clips have been done up a bit jaunty. Depending on how handy you are with the spanners you might be able to at least gain a look at this area through a combination of the front services panels and the front wheel arch liners. But if the radiator has failed you will need to take the clam off and if you have a/c you'll need to split the rad away from the A/C condenser, etc., etc. so you want somebody that's done it before, otherwise they'll make a pig's ear of the job. The front clam (like everything lotus) is fitted with shim stacks at the factory - it's common for these to be piled up and then refitted at random (if at all) which leaves you with a wonky clam and possibly problems in the future when trying to remove the clam to replace the windscreen (that's the next thing which will fail

).
If you've got breakdown assistance I suggest you breakdown and have them tow the car to CMC - unless somebody in Aberdeen knows of a local place that will do this work sympathetically?
If the clam does come off I suggest you switch to the alloy end cap radiators (whether or not your radiator has failed). These are available from elise parts/elise shop/others and these don't fail; the standard ones fail with monotonous regularity and it seems as though Lotus haven't learned the lesson (or at least hadn't last time I owned an S2 Exige, anyway).
Cheers,
Robin
