The previous nose cone in foam and cardboard wasn't really working. So needed to rebuild with less foam and more wood. This was the Wednesday night before the race. I would be away on Thursday so needed to get it moving in the right direction.

Plenty cups of tea required.

Late Thursday night working in the flood light in my folks garden we had the nose and the side pods sorted.

then on Saturday morning after moving house I collected the body as it was.

After swimming lessons for the kids at lunchtime I got stuck in and completed the body with air scoop and rear spoiler as best I could by dinner time. Was pretty happy with it although I don't recommend using foam as a construction medium.

Kids help paint it until bedtime.

The with a glass of wine in hand I made the stickers taking me to midnight.
Up early on the Sunday and with the paint still wet we stickered her up for the race.

Made it to Royal Deeside Speed Fest just in time for the practice!

Great selection of entries. Some very fast machinery.

But it was all about two teams. Scottish Elises fielding Team JPS and Team Ecurious Ecosse.

Action shot from John Stewart. The look on G's face is priceless.

Run done, parked up waiting for recovery. :)

And best of all we came away with 'Best Soap Box'

It was all worth it not just for the prize but the fun we had in the paddock and catching up with friends. Big thanks to Tony, Clark and the rest of the team for organising another great day. :)

That looks Amazing Ferg! Looks incredibly well built what with the foam crash structures etc, genius use of construction materials... I really like that Massy Ferguson one too, that super cool! Well done again... Can't wait to see how you top this next year! :thumbsup

Loved your stickers Ferg. Forgot to say.

Think we may drop to 1 car plus roofbox for next year's.

The Mk3 chassis dimensions will be tweaked accordingly!
