I might have some commission pending at work dependent on some customers signing on the line and giving me their deposits, already spending the possible income lol.........
this has caught my attention...
http://classifieds.seloc.org/ads/turbo- ... arger-kit/ My car is leggy so this freshly rebuilt should add some value?

Silly.
Put your commission in a maintenance fund (shares ISA) and make it work for you in more ways than one.
If you want a faster Elise, buy one which was made that way by the factory.

You did ask!

Would you not be worried that it would do the same to your engine as the guy selling it? Isn't the K series engine a bit fragile too...I'd offer him about half £800-900 max and if he can't sell it he'll come back to you at that price

Keep your car original and in good order if you add performance you need to start upgrading everything else too.
There's more value in your car if you keep it as it was intended - unadulterated & original (IMHO )

if its the 190 then i don't think there's much to worry about, from what iv'e heard with the 230 ( smaller pulley, same charger ) then im pretty sure you need ductile ( or banded are apparently okay ) liners and a couple of other things. the pistons that they used for them have something with the crown that needs slight modification ( unsure exactly what, a couple of folk on seloc did it with a dremel, 15 mins each piston apparently ) which causes melting etc. theres a few people that have messed about with the kits on seloc in the past, least time that 260 came up on ebay i had a good dig to find out about them but someone bought it before i got the chance to make an offer.

My car is already track worthy to a degree, Brakes are Pagid RS42 and EBC discs, Suspension is Gaz Gold Pro just been rebuilt by Gaz, gearbox was close ratio and is going away for a rebuild soon, not sure what else would need upgrading have a hurricane and de-cat, larrini is on the to do list regardless

HGF was fixed by DVA with 633 cams too... Roof has been converted to the later short roof and has a 3 element rear diffuser so she's not really unadulterated & original

Mark,
I spoke to Craig about supercharging (always loved the idea, would make mine a 111ss) and he was basically "no, get a grip, it'll grenade"
Nuff said for me. I was being silly too
