S2 Rear Speakers - upgrade

Post by a4drk » Mon Jun 19, 2017 11:09 pm

My speakers are blown a little in the rear
They measure up to be 150mm diameter / 6"
however, most manufacturers now are 6.5" / 17cm

any help appreciated

Cheers
David
Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

I put some JBL 2-ways into the S1 a loooong time ago. The pods might be different but the speakers themselves are still brilliant 18 years on.

15cm (6") speakers arent made now - only in components (seperate tweeter & you need an amp & sub)
13cm or 17cm available

A few Elise owers in the USA have opened the hole up and put in 17cm

might do that

Don't need an amp for 2-way separates. My JBLs run off std head unit.
