My trusty 17 yo Blue Flame has finally been condemned.

Budget precludes ordering a shiny new stainless something or other.

Already have option of a pre-owned std sewing machine spec one from our friends at CMC.

But if you have something stainless steel, pre-owned and in fair nick but getting in the way in your garage, let me know

What's broken about the old one / can it be welded / otherwise repaired?

Borderline. Welded previously. At 17 yo, prob false economy to re-do. We have a temp replacement but think it's a Janspeed and they are a bit droney...

Ah ok. Sorry not much help, I was asking for personal interest as I have 3/4 of a Brooke Kensington in my garage

Pre-owned example now fitted. Very short first impressions are, it's very similar in tone to my old Blueflame. Longer journey required to be sure but it'll keep us mobile while budget goes on other fundamentals
