I noticed a rattle a few weeks back, most noticeable around 4k revs plus, had a look and found a loose bolt between the inlet and plenum and thought I had it figured... But no, it's still there. I've taken a video of it, seems to me like a 'thin' metallic rattle that seems to trail acceleration. Can't find anything obviously loose, difficult to pinpoint but I'd say it's more audible from the cabin side than the rear.
Any ideas???

It's the car still running OK, could be a heat shield, or loose under tray? Have you checked the oil level?

Exhaust manifold is known to "tizz" - there was a recall I think. Long, long time ago tho!

Re: K series engine rattle
I think the tizz was S1 manifold specific. The anti-tizz bracket available made a difference to mine, but I don't recall it being available in S2 form. I might be wrong though.
Alternator bearing maybe?

Re: K series engine rattle
Car is running fine and oil level is okay. Hoping it's something benign like a heatshield. Not undertray, it's secure and the noise is coming from higher up.
