Hi Guys,

This is my first post on what seems like a super helpful forum. My 2002 K series wont start and im starting to lose it a bit :| I first thought it was the immobiliser so I bought an immobiliser bypass to try and eliminate that... Without the bypass when I turn the ignition round nothing happened at all (no fuel pump noise to prime the injectors etc like usual) but with the bypass connected there is the usual ignition noise but then when i turn the key all the way its as if the battery totally cuts everything off and have to reconnect the battery again to get power. I dont really have the slightest clue with electronics but im hoping that its just something simple.

Can anyone help?

Cheers!

Although it is stating the obvious are you sure that you have a fully charged battery?

If it is below 10v then although your dash may light up it will not turn over.

It’s a brand new Bosch battery that’s in it

I had the same problem turned out to be a blown fuse inside the engine bay..... it was the fuse panel which is bolted onto the boot side inside the engine bay. Might not be the same thing but probably worth checking.

Couple of big fuses in the engine bay that went on my s1 with similar symptoms. Ended up replacing them as water had got in and they were corroded.
