Costco will do the BFGs but you have to argue with them. DDtB will be able to explain.

Alternatively, you should be able to pick up a full set of Toyo T1-R in S1 sizes for around £250.

You probably don't want A048s for winter!

Costco now cant get the fronts, and say they are not going to get any more in,so will not supply(will need to go back and get a refund)
I have just had delivered ,a set of Toyo T1R,s at £214.38 total and am waiting on a set of Fulda Carat Extremo.s coming next week at £220 delivered.
I have the Fuldas on the mini, and they are AWSOME in the wet, lets hope they will be as good on the Elise, but for £220 ..........who cares.

Will keep you informed

I did last winter on some old hard p-zeros and it was great fun (read: slippy slidey dance of death)! Shortly before selling the liz I got a set of ToyoT1Rs and the difference was amazing, they're fantastic compared to the p-zeros. Haven't ever tried any other tyres, but most people seem to rate the T1Rs and a full set is fairly cheap. Got mine from Collins Tyres in Glasgow for under £250 fitted, so if that's nearby to you I'd recommend em. :drive

Advans are worth a shout - not as cheap as the other options, but a superb all-round tyre wet/dry.

He who have money by Yoko Advan LTS in S1 size.

He who do not, buy Toyo T1-R, spiritual successor to very handy T1-S that on Phat Fordy's car for last 3 years or longer.

Only he without fear use 048 or P Zero in winter.

Amen to that!!!

I killed a set of rears in 2000 road miles. From brand new to slick. The BFGs are much much harder wearing and grip better too.

Although I took the mick out of my Stunner Scudos initially, they are not the ideal 200+hp track tyre, cept in the wet, they have been excellent on the road, especially as they lost some tread.

I have been running with Craig, Scotty and Ali with them, and they gave away nothing to the 48R's, not a single clenched cheek moment, and £270 a set all in.
