Traction Control Light S3 Elise

Post by thesurfbus » Wed Sep 12, 2018 7:53 am

The Traction Control Light has been coming on occasionally on my S3 Elise, but yesterday it was coming on just by pressing the brake pedal in my driveway.
Suggestions on google are that its the brake pedal switch, but further reading suggests that was for the Evora.
Anyone have any suggestions before I take it to the garage, its got a warranty so don't want to spend much tme/money on it unless its an easy fix.

Any ABS issues / random activation noted, as if so it could be a dodgy wheel sensor (which the ABS and TC use as inputs)?

Think the Traction/ABS/Cruise are all related and a warning lamp is shown on the dash.
Drove 30 miles this morning and the light didn't come on.

If it's coming on when you're stationary and pressing the brake pedal then the switch sounds like the most likely culprit. If it's still under warranty though I'd just pop into the dealers and let them figure it out.

3rd party warranty, probably not worth the paper it's printed on
