Changed my headlamp bracket finally today, old one was completely fooked.

Is there an easy way of getting the wheel arch liner out? It took me about an hour to get out and an hour to refit.

I suspect I really should buy a jack... (Any ideas of where to buy? Halfrauds? :( )

Headlamp doesn't bounce around now tho. Job was easy to do, just slapped the sikaflex on by hand (Don't forget the gloves!) good and thick. Just waiting for the other one to go now.......! :x

For jacks try machine mart. There's a shop open in Glasgow now, but they mail order too (google it)

Also, http://www.screwfix.com do some reasonably priced stuff.

Remember with a jack for the elise that it's much better to get one with a rubber lifting pad and a low closed height for best effect. Othewise you'll have to arse about with driving onto blocks and getting a bit of wood to cover the jack saddle, to avoid marking the chassis.

That said, I've got a cheap-ass halfrauds one and fanny about with blocks of wood every time ;)

For standard suspension, anything under a 140mm closed height should do.

Machine Mart's where I got mine, make sure you get one that's low enough. They do one that goes do 110mm for about £30. There's a Machine Mart in dundee on Trades Lane just down from the bus station.

Just bought one from halfrauds for £26 including 2 axle stands. Just fits under with some packing on top. I'm going to see if the machine shop here can make me a nylon top for it this afternoon.

Cheers
