Noble Servicing
Noble Servicing
Hi all, No Lotus content on this query so you have my apologies, but a workmate has just traded in his Diablo (I kid you not) for a Noble M12.
He's looking for an independant specialist for the servicing preferably in the Aberdeen area as he had enough of travelling the length and breadth of the country when he had the Lambo.
Any suggestions?

See http://www.topgear-cars.co.uk/
He is based in West Lothian and this is the only place I know for this type of work.
PM me and I will pass on his mobile.
Avoid MMC at all costs........

Re: Noble Servicing
I was going to suggest the same place. Carlo is trying to source a 355 for me at the mo and he certainly has an impressive set-up in relation to servicing Ferrari and Lamborghini. A friend with a Testarossa and a Diablo uses him for all his work and speaks highly of him.Carlo, the owner of Top gear Cars is a good friend of mine and specialises in lambo and similar performance marque sales and servicing.

MMC did have a Noble for sale in the showroom a while ago, and there was mention of them becoming a dealer for them.
Also when I was in getting tyres from them, someone dropped of their Noble for a service.
Not a recommendation, but at least they are familiar with the marque...

Green Subaru Impreza Turbo, a 'classic'.
Silver Jeep Cherokee 2.5 TD, on SORN spec...
Black Disco 3, black van man spec...

Yes - that was my Noble they sold after engine replacement work - they had Noble mechanics up training them then. (Don't wholly subscribe to current anti-MMC hysteria despite occcasional hiccups)
Not sure that familiarity with Ferraris and Lambos will help sort out Noble issues!

Have the tried The Elms Collection for your Ferrari. Every forum I've browsed they seem to come highly recommeded.
Paul
yeah I have spoken to Dion @ Elms Collection. He was helpful and, like you say, well reccomended. He seems to deal on behalf of private individuals mainly and whilst I still have the Esprit I cant look at a private seller at the mo. Top Gear Cars will p/x the Lotus if they source a car thats suitable to me. Obviously if the Esprit sells privately then buying privately would be 1st choice.

Cheers lads I'll pass on the info
Looks like it'll be topgear , thats who he dealt with when he got his lambo serviced,
Brian J you say you had one, what sort of problems did you have with it?
his car has 23k miles on it and he's just heard it'll need a major service @ 24k costing approx £2k
do you know if this is right?
Thanks

Problems - gear linkage failure (and was never right); radiator failure leading to engine melt down; corroded fuse boxes; turbo gasket failure (twice); exhaust faults (3); alarm immobilises car when it shouldn't!; clam catches corroded; etc.
And yes, servicing costs are high, parts seem to be in short supply.
