Direct from Avon Motorsport used to be best - http://www.avonmotorsport.com/resource- ... s-on-track
I've not bought a set for a while though so there might be somewhere better now.

If anyone is looking at these for a V6, Ronnie had some sets in stock when I was up there at the end of last year. 👍

Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

Thread resurrection - am assuming people using ZZR on S2/S3 use 195/50/16 front and 225/45/17?

That's the sizes they recommend - https://www.lotuscupeurope.com/tyres-avon-zzr
I see theyve added recommended pressures which always used to be a guessing game.

I use Tut's preferred setup 23 18 45 6

(Obviously that's for counter clockwise KH - for clockwise swap front to rear).

I'm definitely overdue a track outing - moving house left the trackday fund empty for a bit. Haven't got anything booked yet but will have a look. Will need to see what state my tyres are in first.

Time to talk tyres... again!!!

I've currently got AD08R on but they've been replaced by AD08RS which get very mixed reviews. I've had ZZR in the past and would use them again but they're not road legal now apparently. ZZS is the replacement tyre, slightly better in the wet and, given that I'm unlikely to do many track days for a while, probably my preferred option.

Anyone used them or any others to consider?

I’ve just fitted AO52 and had some road driving along with a track day at Knockhill. These replaced my AD07. Overall i am very impressed, no experience on wet grip yet although I’ve been told as long as not standing water they can keep heat and grip. They performed on track and i was able to carry a lot more speed. Felt really good on the run home as well, turn in much better with the 195 vs 175 on the front

5mm starting tread and a softer compound will obviously mean some negatives, however rears are £198 each currently and i do low miles so not a problem for me
