Hello,

I ordered the stark kit with a Kpro ECU. Now i am looking for a good starting point regarding the mapping, so i could tinker from there on my own. Does someone has a mapping from the Rolling Road for a Stark instalation, preferably with JDM DC5 cams?

any help is much appreciated.

best regards
michail

Hi Michail, I could send you a map but my advice would be to use one of the standard pre-loaded maps. The K-Pro has a few base maps, and believe one even has the DC5 CAMS. You can upload this, which allows you to start the car and start the mapping process.

Have you fitted a wideband lambda?. If you have, you can log the fueling against a target map and create a specific map for your car. The Hondata software is very simple and with some guidance you can get great results.

I create all my fuel maps on the road, then take it to a dyno for tweeking but have to be honest I have only saw marginal improvements to the power curve (on N/A applications that is).

Best of luck.
Alan

P.S - remember and disable the immobiliser & secondary O2 sensor on the Kpro :)

Hello Alan,

Sorry for the very late response, i have been tweaking in the garage:)

The car is now more or less ready. As proposed, i will work with a wideband lambda sensor and hope it will work with the KPro despite it is an innovate item... i also think that fueling will be manageable. it is more the cam angle which makes me worry. but if the standard values are ok, i should get it to work pretty good... otherwise i will re post:)

good you are back, btw!
