Next up will be MOT after I fill a couple of chips in the windscreen and fit a new wiper blade.

Realised I haven't updated this thread in a while but she failed her first go around at the MOT, turns out the cat has given up the ghost which wasn't entirely a surprise if I am honest. Fortunately I had a spare original so swapped it out and fitted 2 x new Lambda sensors as I couldn't get the old ones out.She then sailed through the emissions test and passed with one advisory on the rear brake pipe. Not unusual for this to be highlighted on an Elise.

Things to do list is pretty short now, front clam could do with being re-lacquered as it has some peeling from stone chips but not that bothered at the moment. Never was a garage queen. Now that the cat has been changed it's running much better and is back being super quick.

Not much left I can do to improve this car now, pretty much has everything you would want from a track focused Elise.

I am however going to change to a larger brake master cylinder to reduce pedal travel and redo the rear brakes. Will also fit a snap off steering wheel kit as I really do not like the current wheel.

Might also remove the dash top and have it re-covered in darker alcantara as it looks a bit faded. Few wee jobs to tidy up the interior TBH, centre consul could do with a refresh.

It already is, car is fully working, these are ongoing updates just ironing out some stuff I don't like.

In that vane I have got some new bits arrive for the car.

Image

New billet master cylinder which is up a size from standard and should shorten brake pedal travel. Will install this once the new rear discs and pads arrive. Also have the rear brake pipe to replace as per the advisory from the MOT.

Finally swapped out the standard wheel which I really don't think aged well. Momo Tuner on a B-G quick release hub.

Feels much nicer than the one it replaced. Same size though.
