Headlight Lacquer repair

Post by thesurfbus » Thu Aug 22, 2019 11:15 am

The lacquer has started to flake off my headlights, is there anywhere recommended to refurbish them in the Edinburgh area?
Alternatively has anyone gone down the DIY route?

Have you looked at the LED replacements?

No I haven't heard of them, probably out my budget though.

I thought you had an S1 per your avatar, hence the LED suggestion.

I think Craig of CMC has sorted this out for some Evora owners. Similar prob on those.

Give him a call to see.

Craig uses Protek for his headlight refurbs, unfortuneately out of my budget, so will be going down the DIY route over the winter.

Generally if I have anything plastic that is scratched or degraded I use TCut or rubbing compound to polish it up and have to date never had a bad outcome.
