Hi,

Can anyone tell me where in Fife/Tayside I could find someone to re-stitch my S1 soft top.

Stitching is coming out all over it !

Thanks

Ian

Hi,

My soft top came apart at the seams, I sent it down to Allon Whytes. They did a fantastic job re stitching it and fitting a new front mounting rail. 1st class job but at that time they had a waiting list.

Cheers

I have only used them for tents but Forth Marine Textiles could possibly do it.

Non lotus content, kind of connected.
I enquired about sorting worn bolster on my bucket seat this week, I was hoping to send the seat cover to them.

A well recommended company is fully booked until next January !!
Said they could get a send me a full replacement outer part cover for £390+vat. And then said black fades so it wouldn’t match the cushions, another £400 for the cushion covers

So for the moment I’m sticking with 6inch strip of black tank tape and getting my alloy wheels powder coated instead :)

Sad to say I did take the seat out and polish it last week even though the car bodywork isn’t polished, but that was more to see how easy it is to remove the cover, honest

Sounds like it would be cheaper just to get a different seat.

How much was this, out of interest?
Ive not had my hard top off for about 12 years and now i have, i remember why i bought it in the first place.
My front seam stitching is torn and the front hook-rail is snapped.

Thanks

Just checked their website, looks like cost now for full overhaul of soft top is £235 inc vat 👍

Thats much more like it. I didnt need a full replacement but would have gone that way if the cost of repair was more than half of new.

Cheers
