Hello,
Wondering if anyone has experience using the pscan tool from
https://pscan.uk for diagnosing and reprogramming a Lucus 5A5 fob?
The fob stopped working and even after a battery replacement still isn’t working. I do have a second working fob thankfully.
Thanks
Ian

Ive had a Pscan for years. Ive only used it for engine diagnostics and live value views on the dyno.
I didnt know it had an immobiliser function. I'll have a play with it again.

Spotted the pscan info on the MGF forums
https://www.mgfregister.org/forum/viewt ... 05#p179625
Saying that I spotted this nugget
Tried that at the weekend and managed to get the fob
working, able to set and unset the alarm, however after a few hours of tinkering removing the passenger seat and cleaning it had stopped working again. I was able to 'resync' it but I feel I needed to use the other fob in the presence of the misbehaving one in order for it to start working... I need to attempt it again, leaving the working fob out of the equation.
I somehow managed to disable, without knowing how, the (passive?) beahaviour where the immobiliser turns itself on after ~30 seconds. Thankfully after a jaunt on Sunday it was back to normal by itself.
Having been stranded once already, luckily only a mile from home, I'm keen to have a backup fob that I can rely on.

I bit the bullet and engaged a professional.
Popped it in the post to Paul at
https://www.technozen-electronics.co.uk who returned it a couple of days later, working, with new case, buttons, a few replaced resistors and soldering of I guess dry joints.
So far so good.
