Does the S2 footplate fit an S1? It's the only bit of an S2 I prefer. The S1 gets full of grit that can't be cleaned out. The wider S2 plate seems better.

Apparently it does (I take it you mean the foot rest in the pax footwell?)
BTW my footrest was held in with velcro...

I thought they all were . . . mine definitely is. I think the entire car is held together with velcro!

Don't think I've ever seen them on eliseparts. Think you just need to order them from Lotus, through MMC parts department.

You could do that, but it would be a bit daft (£!). Try eBay for folk breaking cars (theres a few on at the mo)

Seen a few on e-bay in the past but they all want silly money. If all of your pax are short then just get some more velcro and move the thing....

He means the anti-slip plate on the floor just in front of the seats.
S1 grooved (to catch dirt/stones), S2 raised rounded (so its not antislip !!)
Think its bonded to the floor/part of the chassis structure
Its a right pain to clean but a hoover with a brush attachment works.
I also have tips for ironing shirts and cleaning ovens.........
