H I D headlights

Post by MacK » Tue Oct 04, 2005 1:46 pm

Hi guys,

I've seen on SELCO that there is a 'group purchase' (at discounted price) of HID Headlights,
my questions are;
does anyone here have them?
are they worth the price?

I dont think the lights on my S2 are that bad. But everyone 'doon sooth' thinks they are poor. Maybe it's because they don't drive on dark roads that often, as all the motorways and dual-carriageways seem to have streetlights :scratch
But in the proper dark my lights especially on full beam with driving lights seem to give good illumination :idea:

I agree that full beam is OK but I think the biggest issue is with dipped headlights. Mine are woeful as the covers are stone chipped and the alignment off (I didn't reset them when I put the Nitrons on which reduced the ride height and added rake).

The HID look like a big improvement but not sure I'd pay the money for the few times it's been a problem.

Cheers,
Ali
