Yota Induction

Post by Gareth » Sat Dec 30, 2006 8:37 pm

Not really heard much reviews of induction kits on the yota.
What's the scoop? Hurricane still a good bet?

My advice is to leave it alone.

I think the whole MIL saga experienced by others on this list has never been bottomed out - it isn't clear that it's related to the intake mods, but it's a suspect.

Also the "crud" that needed to be cleaned out of Andy G's throttle body implies that the filter doesn't actually work all that well.

Of course others may know better, but that's the impression I have got from reading this list.

Cheers,
Robin

Sneaking suspicion that the crud in Andys was more to do with the muppets at MMC not actually oiling the foam filter when it was installed. I had a wee look and it was bone dry.....

As we know, it's not the foam that does the filtering, it's the oil suspended in it....

G,

ITG also do a kit for the yota - available from PTP ltd.

Not cheap though.

ITG is too much bucks.
I've promised the wife a saving year as I spent silly amounts the past two years - lot's of unnecessary spending
