Scottish Elises

I am using Leda shocks with rose joints and road springs @ 300 fr
and 350 rear
I have some track springs rated @ 400 / 450 , these are very short with some weak lift springs however there looks to be collars missing that link the two springs
is it worth getting said collars and running track springs , for the road or just keep the road springs that i feel are a bit week over pot holes poor surfaces ect
any one still using these old ledas , or remember them and used track spings
got to sort springing out before a geo

Shugs Ledas are fooked though!

400/450 is going to be harsh for road use and you may not be able to get the springs controlled by the dampers (if you set the dampers too soft then the springs will oscillate; if you set the dampers hard enough to prevent the springs oscillating, you will lose your fillings ).

300/350 might be a bit soft for the track - 325/400 is a good compromise that is track oriented but still usable on the road.

My Ledas are 325/375 IIRC and they feel (well, felt, when there was fluid in them) way overdamped on any setting. Too much rebound for the compression, if 'tinternet rumours are correct & it certainly does feel like they pack down and don't recover on obviously rippled tarmac. It's predictable in the slide, but fookin bone-jarring.

I'm sure stiffer springs would help the rebound damping work, but the compression would then be totally wrong.
