Hi all,
Just getting ready to give the car a quick wash and noticed this pipe isn't connected to anything at either end, here...
which looks like this:
and here...
...and my very very limited knowledge tells me that's not right

. Should this not be connected to the airbox?
Will I be able to re-connect this myself without wheel-off / clam-off antics?
Any advice greatly appreciated
Cheers
Craig

from the pic of the side pod, it sure looks like it should be! Take a photo fo the airbox if you can, most of us are pretty unfamiliar with 'yota stuff at the mo so that should help

good work
So long as there's an unobstructed path from side-pod to tube, you should be fine

Some on here may say that the tube itself unnecessary and the engine can draw air from the box fine as was. looks like you solved the prob though

that is correct the pipe just sits in the intake, pure Lotus engineering! The older cars had a snail shell shaped bit of cardboard (Well that what it looked like!) to fit onto the airbox

Take it off again!

That's pretty much the sound a Hurricane or whatever makes.

Leave it connected - if there is any difference in performance either way it will be tiny.
