S2 nitrons on an s1
S2 nitrons on an s1
Guys after running my car for the first time the other week I found that she is sitting slightly lower in the rear with the honda in. Ita actually sitting level but the clams gotta go on and she used to ride gigher at the back. Anyway im bidding on a set of nitrons from an s2 and according to eliseparts webpage theres a difference from the s1. I currently have s2 bilstiens which needed lowering brackets, are these all thats needed to make the nitrons fit or are there other problems. Cheers Craig.
I think the S2 nitrons will fit fine if you have the S2 suspension already - the only difference is in the eye-to-eye distances which you can obviously factor out in part with the platform - though you might give up some droop travel in the process.
Remember that with the Honda in most people go for much heavier springs as much as 400/500 IIRC.
Cheers,
Robin

Except with regard to spring rates. I would recommend 400/500 springs for all cars for road/track use. There is no need to run different spring rates for Honda cars as there is little difference in weight post-conversion and it doesn't alter the weight distribution.
If these Nitrons have 325/400 springs (Standard Nitron rates) you may find them a little soft for track use.

Craig,
No problem at all.
One or other of myself or broth in law Ian could be in the market, so just wanted to check on marketing status
As you say, if things don't work out, drop me a PM and we can discuss if need be.
Good luck with the auction! Nitrons are a quality bit of kit, I understand, but Dan's advice on stronger springs is quite sound from the feedback I've heard from other Honda owners.

looks like a good buy, I guess you could sell the brackets you have (Greg will need some for his S2 kit) and buy those.....
