Cracked windscreen

on sunday, i had driven down to Edinburgh and back. i noticed a small crack on my windscreen (driver's side next to the dash board) is there some quick solution other than replacing it? i was hoping to limp with it till may-june, time for my 18000 mi service + tyre change + TT2007

Autoglass or any other windscreen company should be able to advise and repair if possible, may also be covered by your insurance so could be free.

But it depends on the size of the crack and the position of it.

check your clam is not touching the screen
not seen a s2 but the s1 can touch and will break the screen if its not clear from it
i slide thin cardboard between when refitting the front clam
