any one inflate tyres with nitrogen in north of scotland ?
i can also have my dampers regased at the same time
is it done / offered at knock hill
do motorcycle forks use nitrogen nowdays

80% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen.

Tut, I prefer a slightly lower mix of nitrogen . . .

78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, a wee bit of argon and just a touch of carbon dioxide

On a serious note though . . . what difference does it make? I can't really see what difference 100% nitrogen would make? Something to do with not having any water vapour? There ain't that much water vapour in the air anyway, so don't see what huge difference that would make?

on track nitrogen does not heat up like oxigen so you get more stable tyre pressures it also less likly to seep out and having no water content is not corrossive on alloy wheels
but the main reason i want it is, to check/top up my damper remotes as they have been lying around for a few years
so require an outlet that can check/refresh as required

Nadgers. A excuse to flog expensive air to neds IMHO. We used Nitrogen in aircraft tyres as it's dryer than normal air, that's all. (They are Mag-alloys so it was kind of important!)

Using a gauge on the valve will allow more air to escape then the expansion of the oxygen would change it anyway.

I have OFN (Oxygen Free Nitrogen) and should be up in your area sometime in the next few weeks.

But I know nothing about using it in tyres, and nothing about charging dampers with it.

I doubt the connections and fitting I use would be the same as the connections onto the dampers etc.

I get my OFN from BOC, there is one in Inverness (Longman Ind Est) who may be able to advise you better.

just been into inverness boc only sell gas and cannot inflate dampers
however there is a m/bike racing company at knockhill and they rebuild ohlins

Sorry didn't read your first post properly. The nitrogen in our dampers (Oleos) was just through a normal tyre valve.
