I was told by a Lotus specialist (down south) that standard S1 clams and S1 111s clams are the same. I have just been looking at elise parts and they seem to say (in the headlamp cover section) that they are not. Can anybody tell me what the differences are?

I believe the 111s clams has a recessed headlight section to allow the fitting of the headlight covers. On the normal clam the headlight section is almost flush with the rest of the clam and the headlight covers are a lot thinner to be flush.

Yip, that's true. Also, shouldn't this be in technical?

I heard that they only make replacement 111s ones with the deeper recess now which might explain slight confusion.
