Thanks guys...great help!
quick dumbass question....is there a special tool needed to get the head unit out?
We tried for an hour and it wouldn't budge!!
Installation dude wanted to check out the back of it to find out what amp would be compatible.....without success!
I tried the Clarion link but it doesn't list the DB318RB as it's too old! Thanks anyway Bertie (again!)
Sorry to be a pest

beer!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure i could get it out for beer
unless you want it to work when it goes back
And before anyone else sayes it AN AMP IN AN ELISE are you mad?
and the sensible comment is if the guy installing an amp don't know how to get the stereo out are you sure you want him to be working on your car

Agree with thinfourth - if the dude cant remove a stereo, how is he going to run power cables from the battery in the boot to the headunit and make it tidy, as thats a bit trickier than removing the HU!
