Wheel Straightening.

Have a buckled wheel on my S1 111s (front) which I have been trying to replace without much luck. I was wondering if anybody knows whether I could get it straightened out to keep me going. The buckle is not visible to the eye but kicks through the steering and is fairly obvious if you jack the car and spin it.

If anybody knows where I’d get a wheel (six spoke) even better, but straightening would make it less of a problem, short term.

Keep an eye on eBay and Seloc classifieds I suppose is the best bet.

I know that tyre places can balance out slight buckles (have had this done on my car) but it depends how severe it is.

There used to be a place in Airdie (between the football ground and Brownsburn) that would rebuild alloy wheels. I've seen them go in there with sections missing and come out as good as new!

Was a few years back - don't know if they are still on the go.

Cheers

The is a place up by Carluke which is supposedly really good. I have a rear with a bit of rim missing which I need to get to the for a looksee.
If you want to borrow a front 5 spoke short term give me a shout.

Thanks for the heads up on that one, have taken the wheel out and had it fixed, very nice guy, very helpful and can fix just about anything. Not cheep at £180 to include re-powder coating, but the wheel is as new. Would defiantly recommend him to anyone.

I picked up a full set of S1 wheels for £120 on ebay just before christmas so I may sell the three spares I have as I'm now sitting with 12 wheels, one of which has a bit of rim missing.
