i have a standard third party radio fitting adapter i need to add to car. in my clio i could unplug the radio and fit this adapter on the power cable then plug radio into adapter.
is the exige radio power cable standard like all cars ?
how do i get to it ? take radio out or can i get to back of it under passenger tray ?

Don't know is my honest answer, but taking the radio out would be what I would try myself.

thanks for reply.
I had a look and cant see how to pull it.
The idea was to add my splitter cable to radio power cable .... it basically creates an additional power cord.
will try and upload a pic.
I had a look under tray but every power cable seem pretty solid and in place. Not sure even if i did manage to disconnect one that its the correct adapter anyway , but back of radio should be ok .... if i can get to it.
cheers

I take it there are no Din holes at each side then ?
if there is a plastic surround try and get it off be very carefull you may break it. Get the manual for the radio off the internet it will tell you how.
if you can see a small silver shim of metal at each sid ethen squeeze something long and thin in and pull.
or dismantle the whole dash

You need a set of DIN pullers
Woodstock DAB53 DAB / MP3 / CD receiver FITTING
Page 6 Item B
Remove the face
there should be 2 holes on each side of the stereo push the pullers in each side push lightly outwards and pull it should slide out. you will get them at halfrauds or any other car/ICE shop shouldnt cost more than a couple of quid.
I made mine using silver steel (i'm an engineer I have access to that stuff gratis (don't tell the boss

))

Paper clips don't have the strenth, I have used pop rivit's before
Damn I'm rough and kebab skewer's
you need 4 of each be carefull though.
as back in the day you could put your hand in the tape deck and pull.
you could ask a passing yoof with a burberry baseball cap he will get it out in 15seconds flat!

you can remove them using a metal coat hanger, just cut it and bend to suit, ot small flat screwdrivers sont insert too far or they will jam up the radio, try doing one side at a time to release the clips, sometime that is easier than pulling it out straight,

Those are standard ISO connectors.
Thats what is in the elise will fit most aftermarket stereo's.
you should't need any adapter your stero uses ISO.
do you bite your nails
